One of the great opportunities I had as
Mrs. Oklahoma City International 2008 was to
attend many of the exciting and important
events which took place in our great city!
One of my favorites was the American Heart
Association Heart Walk.

As you can see there were some colorful
and friendly people at the Heart Walk. I think
I could have took this clown in a foot
race..LOL

Over 5000 people descended on the
Oklahoma City Bricktown for this very
special event to raise awareness for the
American Heart Association.  During the
state competition I won the Fitness Award
and I consider it important for all of us to be
concerned about good health and nutrition!

Another chilly but fun event I was able to
attend was the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
Zoo Walkathon, which was held at the
Oklahoma City Zoo.  Over 2000 people
attended this chilly event to help raise
awareness about this very debilitating
disease.

Since my own platform is on "Scoliosis a
Voice of Hope" I understand the great value
of getting the word out, raising awareness
and support to help those who suffer from
these life threating diseases.  Again I love
the opportunity to come out and lend my
support to such a worthy cause.  I really
want to thank James Morris, and Kim
Johnson my friends who joined me for this
very special event.
